Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dr. Nidhi Jain ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use drnidhijain.com and our consultation services. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

By using the website or booking a consultation, you consent to the processing described here. You can withdraw your consent at any time as described below.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide and improve our services:

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored in encrypted form).
  • Consultation details: date, time and place of birth, and any other information you choose to share for a reading — for example a floor plan for Vastu, signature samples, or names for numerology and naming services.
  • Booking and payment records: the service, session, date and amount of each booking, and the transaction reference returned by our payment gateway. We do not collect or store your card, UPI or net-banking credentials — these are entered directly with PayU.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form, email or WhatsApp.
  • Technical data: device and browser type, pages visited and how the site is used, collected through cookies and analytics tools.

2. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your birth details or consultation information for advertising.

  • To create and manage your account, and to book, schedule, conduct and follow up on your consultations.
  • To prepare your reading, which requires your birth details or the other information you provide.
  • To process payments, send booking confirmations and receipts, and handle refunds.
  • To respond to your questions and requests.
  • To keep the website secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the website and our consultations, and only as much as each needs:

  • PayU, our payment gateway, to process payments and refunds.
  • Hosting, database and cloud storage providers that store the website's data and uploaded files.
  • Email and messaging providers that deliver booking confirmations and messages.
  • Analytics providers (such as Microsoft Clarity and PostHog) that help us understand how the website is used.
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities, when required by law or a valid legal order.

These providers process data on our behalf and are required to keep it secure and confidential. Some of them may store data on servers outside India; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected to the standard required under Indian law.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to make the website work, and analytics cookies to understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the website, such as signing in and booking, may not work without them.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and consultation records for as long as your account is active, and booking, payment and invoice records for the period required by tax and accounting laws (generally up to eight years). When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

6. How we protect it

We use reasonable security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted password storage, access restricted to authorised people, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach as the law requires.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act and applicable law, you can:

  • Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed.
  • Ask us to correct, complete or update your personal data.
  • Ask us to erase your personal data, unless we must keep it to meet a legal obligation.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect processing already done, but we may no longer be able to provide services that depend on it.
  • Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
  • Raise a grievance with us, and, if it is not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at info@nidhijainsocial.com.

8. Children's data

Our services are meant for adults. Services that involve a child's details — such as baby naming — must be booked by a parent or lawful guardian, who provides the child's details and gives consent on the child's behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children.

9. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, our Grievance Officer is:
